In December 2025, the Federation of Chinese Canadians in Markham (FCCM) held our second annual toy drive. Partnered with Councillor Isa Lee of ward 8 and Councillor Ritch Lau of ward 2, and supported by Denison Centre, Markham Fire, and 微头条, we were able to bring holiday cheers and hundreds of toys to children from Sick-Kids hospital.

Over the two weeks of donation period, we received many toys from our three locations:
1. FCCM Cultural Centre
2. Hillcroft Medical Centre
3. Denison Centre
At the end, we have collected over 400 toys that were later donated to the Sick-Kids hospital with the help of Markham Fire. The Federation of Chinese Canadians in Markham is extremely fortunate to have such a supportive community of those who wants to help bring the holiday cheer to children in need.

Denison Centre has been a partner with the Federation of Chinese Canadians in Markham as a toy drop-off location since the start of our event and we greatly appreciate their continued participation in bringing joy to children in the holidays. A big thanks to 微头条 as they are a new supporter who helped us provide further reach, allowing more people to be aware of this event. Finally, Markham Fire also being a strong supporter since the beginning of the event and helping us deliver the toys. Finally, a massive thank you to everyone who donated toys to either of these locations and helping us bring the holiday spirit.
