Taste of Asia Festival 2026 Celebrates Culture, Cuisine and Community in Markham

The 24th Annual Taste of Asia Festival successfully brought together hundreds of thousands of visitors for a three-day celebration of Asian culture, food, and community spirit in the heart of Markham.

Hosted by the Federation of Chinese Canadians in Markham (FCCM), the festival transformed Kennedy Road between Steeles Avenue East and Clayton Drive into a vibrant cultural destination from June 26 to June 28, 2026. With free admission, the event welcomed families, residents, tourists, and community members from across the Greater Toronto Area.

A Celebration of Food, Culture and Diversity

Taste of Asia 2026 showcased the rich diversity of Asian cultures through a wide range of experiences, including authentic cuisine, cultural performances, community displays, and family-friendly activities.

Visitors enjoyed hundreds of food options featuring flavours from across Asia, including traditional favourites, modern creations, desserts, beverages, and specialty dishes from local vendors. The festival also provided a platform for small businesses and entrepreneurs to connect with thousands of attendees throughout the weekend.

Three Days of Entertainment and Live Performances

The festival stage featured an exciting lineup of performances throughout the weekend, highlighting the talent and cultural traditions of the community.

From traditional music and dance to modern entertainment, martial arts demonstrations, and cultural showcases, performers entertained audiences of all ages. A major highlight was the appearance of featured performer Philip Keung, who attracted large crowds during the festival.
