Chinese New Year
Chinese New Year, also known as the Lunar New Year, is one of the most important celebrations in Chinese culture, marking a fresh start filled with traditions, performances, and wishes for prosperity and good fortune. FCCM hosts this annual event to preserve cultural heritage, share meaningful traditions with the wider community, and bring people together in a vibrant and welcoming celebration.
Taste of Asia
Taste of Asia is FCCM’s signature annual festival, held every year on the last Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of June at Kennedy and Steeles in Markham. This vibrant street celebration brings together food vendors, cultural performances, and diverse communities to showcase Asian culture, support local businesses, and create one of the largest outdoor festivals in the region.
Mid Autumn
The Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional celebration of family reunion, gratitude, and the harvest, symbolized by the full moon and the sharing of mooncakes. FCCM hosts this event to preserve cultural traditions, bring families and friends together, and create a warm, community celebration filled with performances, cultural activities, and festive spirit.
