Registration Process

1. Complete the vendor application form.

2. Submit your completed form via email to tasteofasia@fccm.ca or bring it in person to our office:
Markham Chinese Cultural Centre, 9390 Woodbine Ave, Unit 327, Markham, ON L6C 0M5

3. Once your application is reviewed, you will be contacted to schedule an in-person appointment to select your booth location or you may come in person directly.

4. Payment is accepted by cheque, cash, credit card or EMT.
– Do not send EMT payments to tasteofasia@fccm.ca.
– Booth spots cannot be held until payment is received.
– EMT payments require confirmation before processing and will be arranged directly after approval.

No, booth categories cannot be changed after submission.

Yes, first-time vendors are welcome.

Yes. Vendors may not sell illegal substances, drugs, or items prohibited by law. All food and related products must be permitted by York Region Health inspectors.

Details will be emailed to vendors in the weeks leading up to the festival.

No, vendors are responsible for arranging their own utilities if needed.

Booth locations are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis based on payment. If the festival map has not been finalized due to logistics, vendors will be contacted individually to select their booth in the order that payment was received.

Vendors may request to change their booth location only if the new spot is available. Changes are not guaranteed and will be approved based on availability.

Yes. Vendors using propane must follow all safety guidelines and have a TSSA-approved propane certificate, which shows that your propane equipment meets safety standards and may be verified before the event. Vendors are responsible for safe setup and operation according to provincial regulations.

Yes. All food vendors must submit the required York Region Public Health form before the festival. Health inspectors from York Region will be present on the day of the event to conduct inspections. Failure to provide the completed form or pass inspection will result in the vendor not being allowed to serve customers and they will not be allowed into the festival.

Vendors can download the Vendor Application Event Form (PDF) from York Region here: https://www.york.ca/media/94321/download. This form must be submitted at least one month before the festival. Vendors may submit it directly to the health inspector, but FCCM must also receive a copy — please CC tasteofasia@fccm.ca when submitting.

Yes. Vendors must provide general liability insurance to FCCM at least one month before the festival. If a vendor does not provide proof of insurance, FCCM will charge $100 + tax ($113 total).

The festival will run rain or shine. There are no cancellations.
