Taste of Asia Festival Returns to Markham June 26–28, 2026 — Featuring 姜皓文 (Philip Keung Ho-man)



Markham, ON — May 6, 2026 — Canada’s largest Asian street festival, the Taste of Asia Festival, is back from June 26 to 28, 2026, bringing its signature blend of food, culture, and community spirit to the heart of Markham. Held along Kennedy Road (between Steeles Avenue and Denison Street), this family-friendly event celebrates Canada’s rich cultural mosaic.


This year’s media conference, held at the FCCM Cultural Centre, was attended by dignitaries and community leaders including Members of Provincial Parliament Logan Kanapathi and Tim Hodgson, as well as community representatives Rich Lau and Isa Lee, alongside Mayor Frank Scarpitti, Dr. Ken Ng, media partners, and festival organizers.
This year’s festival is proud to feature acclaimed Hong Kong film actor 姜皓文 (Philip Keung Ho-man) as a special guest. Known for his powerful performances in award-winning films such as Trivisa (树大招风), SPL 2: A Time for Consequences (杀破狼2), and The White Storm 2: Drug Lords (扫毒2天地对决), Philip Keung will make a special appearance at the festival, bringing international star power to this year’s celebration.


The Taste of Asia Festival will showcase over 150 vendors offering international street food, vibrant cultural parades, traditional music and dance performances, martial arts demonstrations, and interactive games. Visitors can also enjoy midway rides, artisan booths, and much more.


This year’s theme spotlights Chinese cultures in Canada, with special events, performances, and cultural displays highlighting the rich traditions, cuisine, music, and art of the community.
The festival celebrates the values of unity, multiculturalism, and community spirit, emphasizing the importance of embracing diversity as a source of strength for all Canadians.
